There is no such thing as a comprehensive background check. In a lot of states the criminal history data held electronically is somewhat comprehensive but many times the data from county/parish courts may never get to the state repository for various reasons. Since that is the case then the data may never reach the national database level and be put in to NCIC. NCIC is the most "comprehensive" system in America. Unfortunately, like the county/parish and state systems it is lacking. It is big but does not cover everything. There is also the situation where the person has never been arrested or convicted.
The bottom line is that is if we could not do a comprehensive background check on the guy who is now president how can we do one on the possible pervs working for TSA?
Use EFFECTIVE techniques, and eliminate this RANDOM PC SEARCH b.s.
How many bombs have they found by this RANDOM PRESELECTION for BODY SEARCH routine started?
How many personal items (pocket-knifes, clippers) have been stolen from their owners in the sacrifice to keep someone from using fingernail clippers to chew their way through the airframe and cause a crash?
I've had a Top Secret (among additional read-ins) for decades, getting re-investigated every 5-yrs. Friends of mine fly for the 89th Special Airlift Wing at Andrews, you know, the guys that fly the POTUS and other government “VIP’s” and yet THEY have to be groped by TSA if they wish to fly commercial.
They are good enough to fly the POTUS but can't be trusted to fly as a passenger on a civilian aircraft?
What is going on can only be described as madness.
We have to put up with groping TSA mouth-breathers that could never pass a Secret (let alone Top Secret) background check.
