The in-airport security is mainly to make people feel safe. The muzzies do not have to board the planes and kill themselves to take them down. The feds know that for nearly a decade the muzzies have been smuggling (just walking in actually) MANPADS in to the US via Mexico. They know that the devices have been stashed all over the country and terror cells are just waiting to take down numerous commercial airliners on command. All this stuff about frisking average Americans is absurd. The real threat is from MANPADS that can hit any jet from a kill zone 40 miles around any major airport.

Happy flying.....

No, I don’t care whether someone is straight or gay, male or female. I don’t know or care what’s going on in their heads. I don’t want anybody feeling me up anyway.

Have you been in an airport recently? Your comment suggests not.

I sure haven't.

Don't plan to either.

A pervert’s particular orientation wouldn’t seem to make much difference. He/she is a pervert and such are pretty generic in their effect. TSA at least takes them off the streets even as it inflicts them on far more victims than they could normally find on their own.

That is according to the DHS and military people I met in 2002.

Agree. Gay or straight, the crotch grab is a violation of 4th Amendment rights. Let’s not lose sight of the main issue here.

LOL.

If I could request a TSA agent I’d like one with dark hair, dark eyes, olive skin, no chest hair, a slender but muscular build, at least 2 inches taller than I am, 20s-30s, and nicely dressed. Sadly, most male TSA agents tend to be balding and middle aged. Oh well, a girl can dream ;)

Understood.

I know one of the supposed DHS/TSA MANPAD briefers, he is former USMC ADA, and his brief is way out of date and flat out wrong, which does not surprise because he uses Wikipedia as a source in his brief.

http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/archive/index.php/t-11342.html is typical advanced MANPAD. As you can see, no where near capable as you had been led to believe. I am surprised about the DoD guy being so wrong, unless he is a staff person with nil experience in aviation and ADA, and is taking DHS word on things.

Their capability is likely a bit better if (when?) they shoot off a few dozen at the same time. Even then if they all fail so what? Flights would stop immediately for an extended amount of time. More economic damage done. As if that may matter because we are so far down a hole we can’t get out economically anyway. Obama has already killed us by using the 5 point palm exploding heart technique on America. We are dead we just have not keeled over yet.

I get your point, but range is range, and no MAPNPAD is capable of performing nowhere near as well as as you had been told.
