c’mon toots! it’s only a love pat! them screeners have a tough job and ought to have an outlet for their frustrations...

wait until they do this in other areas, like the ferries for the statue of liberty, etc.. then federal buildigns and courthouses, next up: busses, all government buildings, schools, colleges, shopping malls...

They will eventually get x ray machines in these other places.

They already have metal detectors in government buildings and court houses. Some sports stadiums do pat downs, but not these more intrusive ones. Disneyland searches purses and back packs.

Eventually, every public place will have these x ray machines. You can count on that. Buses and train passengers will be screened this way too eventually. Some apologists have said that if you don’t like airport security, take the bus or the train. What do you do when these security measures are implemented in trains and buses? What will those apologists say then???

A couple of years ago, I was entering the subway in Boston. It was summer. A transit cop, who shall we say didn’t look like me, called me over with a “Hey, you!” I looked in his direction and he waved a finger. He then said he wanted to check my bag (lap top size bag). It is the subway of a major city, plenty of people, why me? I asked. He said “It’s your lucky day.” Nice customer skills. I looked around and teens with oversized hooded sweaters (remember, a summer day) and tattooed necks weren’t bothered. I looked back to see if anyone else was being checked (an older woman was next) then the cop asked me “do you have a problem?” as he called her aside. All I did was look and I was told this. Then, a second cop gave me a paper about random searches being conducted. It’s coming eventually.

Hmmm. It might solve the unemployment problem not to mention increased union membership. Is this the beginning of Obama’s domestic military? How soon before they are armed?
