Sorry, but I'm not sure I understand what bothers you.
Are you upset because I claimed too many conservatives like the circular firing squad? Or are you upset because you like the circular firing squad, and are upset that I don't?
Assuming it is the former, I think "circular firing squad" is a reasonable analogy for the attacks too often launched against fellow conservatives for the gain of a particular political candidate. You get to where everybody is saying so many bad things about other candidates, that all you remember is all the bad stuff, and people like McCain get elected.
In any case, not sure what "mask" you think is coming off. I've been bemoaning the "attack each other" form of conservatism pretty much from the day I showed up here at FR. And I believe there are a lot of Freepers who agree with me in that assessment, even though I also believe there are a lot that like the rough-and-tumble of tearing each other down, and think it helps their cause or their candidates.
I want to vote for the conservative that most of the conservatives like, not be stuck with the conservative that is torn down the least by the primary process.
We’re upset that you’re a troll and STILL here.
You are saying that sticking to conservative principles and those espousing conservative principles is the same thing as a circular firing squad.
That’s what nauseates me.
