If either one of those teams played in the Big 10, SEC, Big 12 or PAC 10 their stats would be WAY down and more importantly, they’d have at least 2 or 3 losses... Don’t waste my time.

If Boise or TCU played in a BCS Conference, they would have had four years recruiting BCS talent and spending BCS money.

If Boise was in the Pac 10, they would have a budget that allows them to recruit on par with Oregon and USC. They would have more money to get in to Southern California and they could recruit a kid by saying “You can play for a Championship.”

Same with TCU in Texas. Gary Patterson is turning high school RB’s into All-American DL. If he could recruit Houston and San Antonio, or La and Ar, the way the Big 12 schools do, TCU would be loaded.

Then, with both teams being loaded and having the coaches they have, they would definitely have a shot at going undefeated.

The biggest problem in college football is you cannot compare what two teams have done until they play each other, because teams play an insanely small cross-section of available other teams. Most teams play 4 non-conference in a 12 game season. That means they play 3% of the teams not in their conference. This is why a playoff is a bad idea. This is what is wrong with the BCS. They should just go back to every conference playing a certain bowl and vote after.
