For me, I can't imagine what they went through. I'd have to be there. My uncle on the Enterprise spoke glowingly of his positive experiences, but avoided the grizzly. My grandfather, who was in the trenches east of Paris during WW I, said little. They didn't like to talk about it. I don't blame them.

They'd have probably have opened up to those who went through similar things, but for the rest of us, nunna our bidness.

My girlfriend’s father’s Uncle was a flight surgeon on the Enterprise. He returned to his Doctor’s practice in Troy, NY after the war. Is your Uncle still alive? Where was he from? I wonder if they knew each other?
