Yeah, the Mormon ones seemed to die out. I think the fact that there are so many of us anti-mormons that are well versed in the tenets of their organization vs Christianity that they tend to back off now.
My wife is ex-catholic. We both have pretty strong feelings and beliefs on that group as well but we don’t go quite as far as to call it “non-Christian”. My mother in law in the Chicago area is sure proud of their new church building though. It’s really huge, considering it would probably only hold maybe a thousand in the congregation, if that.
On a side note, I went there with them once for mass, and as everyone was leaving the church, I was wondering around examining all the fixtures and I went up on the front page and was examining and touching everything. My wife’s family was beside themselves, I later learned. Apparently you don’t do that.
In the protestant churches I have attended, the whole place is just a building. Nothing is off limits, except private offices, when the doors are closed.
Oh, and women are not allowed in the men’s room, and vice versa.
