I usually pick up on what they are quickly, but too Many Freepers feed the skunks by arguing with them for hundreds of posts. Ignoring them is the only vaccine.
...Unless, of course, the stupid morons who get into protracted arguments with them are part of a tag team. We have had many tag teams in the past. The last epidemic were sandmaggots.

There is a reason I ask. On freerepublic, one is generally expected to create a thread by posting some interesting article, as opposed to creating a vanity. Yet at other sites, the former activity is LITERALLY called trolling.
