OUT OF STATER!!!

It’s Pike Place Market. ;)

And yes, my wife and I love to visit there, but only before nine AM on Saturdays or on Sundays, due to parking. Heck, the musicians even have to get a permit to perform, IIRC.

I really don’t have a problem with the rules at parks. I would also like to see a law making it illegal to conduct business from your car with someone outside your car, while you are in a traffic lane. It would eliminate the beggars at freeway offramps and popular intersections. Sure, they can do it, but if anyone gives them money from their car, they will be pulled over and ticketed for obstructing traffic.

I don’t want to conduct business in a park unless it is in a specific area set aside for such purposes. And the permit does not have to be punitive, but the process is necessary to keep things from getting out of hand.

Sorry, Born in Tacoma, but live in Clark County now.
I agree on the hours at the market, and I will try to get the name down.
I used to like rules, but now my thing is as much freedom as we can stand. I don’t see the need for most of them (Hey, were all adults here!)

I remember a study that a black conservative did, pointing out that under slavery blacks had more freedom to engage in commerce then they do now in Washington DC. Now they are saddled with permits and all sorts on nonsense.

It like our four freedoms. Each one is annoying and dangerous in its own right. Freedom of Speech? Can really be ANNOYING! And Dangerous. Same thing with Religion and arms.

One of the things I like about living in the country on Ag land is there is little I can do that is against the rules!

Rob,

Just a question that I forgot to ask. What sort of horror would ensue if the musicians were unpermitted? Why do the need to be permitted? Is there actually an argument in favor of this, or does it have to do with revenue generation?
