The Eve of Conflict
TL in Exile ^ | November 12, 2010 | T.L. Davis

Posted on 11/13/2010 7:50:14 PM PST by Neil E. Wright

We now have what we have been waiting for. In the words of Barack Obama, "we are the ones we've been waiting for." We, the patriotic masses who find comfort in the stars and stripes, who know what it means to be an American have arrived at the precipice of history. It is a dangerous and deep chasm we see from above that separates us from them.

We are embroiled in a tug of war for the future of the nation. It is an ideological gulf that separates the sides. If one truly believes that America should be a socialist/communist country, that cannot be reconciled with the sentiment that it should not. This is not a new conflict where the sides are ill-defined and yet to be set. This is an old battle taken to a new terrain. Rather than being fought by one government to another, it is being fought right now in the minds of the populace.

The socialist/communist faction in America is largely made up of media personalities: of them are Chris Matthews, Lawrence O'Donnell, Oprah Winfrey, PBS, television, movies and labor unions. Their forces have infiltrated the government (yes, even the Republican side) in Washington and state houses all over the nation. Socialism/communism can be found in the courtrooms, the classrooms and even the boardrooms of those seeking one last chance at profit before they sign away their rights with ours.

This conflict has been an underground stream of discontent between the sides for one-hundred years. Think of it. This is not new, only the open declaration of the socialist/communist faction has the twinkle of novelty about it. They wear union insignia and boast of their connection to the highest offices in the land. Under every SEIU T-shirt is a hammer and sickle, if not, let them deny it, let them denounce it. Pull the mask from their faces and make them reveal their intent. Their willing violence in the streets in defense of the political class says all a patriot needs to know. But, they will probably admit it if pushed, if coerced, if brought out of their routine of denial.

I believe that we are at the starting point of a long and arduous journey toward a Restoration of the Constitution. It is our duty to breathe new life into the ancient document, to make words mean things again. As Orrin Hatch appropriately stated this morning on FOX News, "if Obamacare is allowed to stand, it means that the government can make us do literally anything."

Repeal is more than symbolic, it is the central actionable cause left to the patriot. If we cannot rally all of the patriotic people of the land to stand in defiance of this bill, to demand a passage and a presidential signature, or the override of the veto, then we shall stand for nothing else again. If you are looking for that peaceful moment to make your voice heard, to drive home your demand for republican government and the rule of law, this is it.

January 21st, we should meet on the steps of the capitol and demand the vote in the House and the vote in the Senate. On January 28th a new set of patriots should take up the rotation and let the others go home. Week after week there should be a changing of the guard. Take your valuable vacation and make it count. Take your unemployment and put it to use. Take your leave from war and contribute to the home front. Take your slowed business cycle and come to Washington for a week. Use whatever funds you can. Identify with others who cannot possibly go and ask for a donation to help you go. Who in the D.C. area can put some people up? These are the thoughts of a patriot, of a dedicated republican. Plan your trip now. Do not let them breathe. If we fail at this, there will only be one outcome: civil war.

If not now, when? If not us, who?

“Make their way back east!”

I found a nice state that has mountains, great weather and an ocean, just like northern California, but it’s very conservative. It’s also lightly populated, so there’s plenty of space to stretch out and grow. I’m not revealing its name except to fellow patriots and conservatives. I don’t want to attract California moonbats fleeing the mess they made.

Socialism: just say no. Socialism, communism, marxism, lennonism...by whatever name you call it, it still stinks.

You have to admit Marx makes more sense than Lennon.

For 20 years I have been wondering why it was never exposed. Refreshing that truth is now out there.

We The People must be the flamethrower cleansing the place. That’s what this ‘stand in the breach’ action in January is all about. If We The People do not say ‘This shall not pass’, the damned bastards will run over the scattered few.

non-violence simply does not work to affect change.

Not true....this election acoss our nation just proved this. Regan himself stated the ballot is more deadly than the bullit. How many are now dead in the water from this election. It is the beginning...there is more to follow as we continue the efforts to regain our country under the Constitution it was founded on.

My brother, though not involved in the Tea party movement, stated matter of factly, and to my surprise, that the ONLY reason the Republicans had the success of this election was because of the Tea Party movement. If you knew him you too would be amazed he saw this. I think most realize this truth and those who play the Tea Party down know as well which is why they choose to attack it and those who organize these.

That is something that would really get the attention of all the government workers (salaries paid by us) - planned traffic disruptions. I'd like to see protests at the Capitol combined with an "action" on the beltway where dozens (or hundreds, would be great) of vehicles fill the lanes side by side (like a marching platoon) and block the lanes by driving slowly enough to snarl traffic, but not so slowly as to violate the law - the idea being that no one can pass the 'blocks', and the bureaucrats who are trying to run our lives are seriously inconvenienced as they try to escape the protests in the city. 4, 8, 12 blocks of vehicles spaced around the beltway, starting at protest time, driving around till 8 or 10 at night would really let them know we are everywhere.

The model for this, of course, is the truckers strikes of the 70's, where the truckers protested the rising fuel costs and lower margins by blocking the interstates with slow-moving trucks, side by side. At any given time, it only took 2 of them to get people's attention to their plight.

Actually, we should plan for these kinds of activities simultaneously in cities around the country, for people who can't make it to the DC protest. The only journalists who would be able to ignore these kinds of protests would be the reporters who walk to work...

Many of George Washington's battles ended in defeat, or as you would say " Fruitless " ....
The greatest character of George Washington is that he never gave up, in the eyes of his follow troops they saw a man of character and courage.
The Continental Army was about to be disbanded, the American Revolution was nearly vanquished., all hope was fading fast, but, not in one man, George Washington.
If there is one person who could be credited to holding the American Revolution all together, it was George Washington.
At that point in time, Congress was not listening to George Washington's calls, and cries for help, and help for his troops.... Congress then ? as now ? failed to listen.
George Washington faced the fact that some, or most of his troops were ending their time of enlistment, and some of them with no pay from Congress.
George Washington out of his own pocket paid the troops, and paid for some of the supplies to fight on.
We owe it to him, those American patriots, and our fellow citizens, our military personal, our police who have sworn a oath to defend and protect the US Constitution, the hope of the American Revolution, and the American Dream alive, and support those who serve to defend and protect the United States Constitution.

Believe me, it’s coming and Hatch knows it. We ran Bennett and Hatch knows he’s on borrowed time. I’ve seen the fear in his eyes at town hall meetings and his lame attempts at pandering to the Tea Party-types. We want reasonable, conservative results, we don’t want to be pandered to!

The Pollyanna in me thinks this constitutional crisis can be solved by people of good will acting by peaceful legal means, -

HOWEVER!

The Cassandra in me sees a modern version of the events of late 1860 and early 1861 being replayed with civil war very likely in the spring of 2011.

The dogs of war...or....The doves of peace?

Dr. King's mantra was non-violent civil disobedience in the face of institutional injustice. Frankly I find Mr. Davis' juxtaposition of civil war as the alternative to Obama and his cohorts' socialist agenda very disturbing. He's made veiled references to "social upheaval" in other articles. (See ObamaCare and the Constitutional Crisis )

Don't get me wrong, I agree with his firm stand for the Constitution, but what have these socialists done in office that is contrary to our electoral, legislative and judicial review precepts? Nothing. We the populace have tolerated this creep towards socialism for 70 years. The socialists have set backs through a periodic conservative awakening, but they always recover. (The New Deal, the Great Society, the Obama, Pelosi Reid agenda).

Even Republicans are complicit in advancing socialist progams (Bush's prescription drug medicare coverage for all, regardless of ability to pay). They are able to recover because socialism is institutionalized in our civil service system (the bureaucrats), the unions, the media and a populace that has, by design, become more and more dependent on government.

WE have tolerated it and enabled it. If it is time to stop it, it must come through radical change to institutionalized socialism. The Tea Party movement is the grass roots movement that can do it, but without a mantra of peaceful change, the movement will be marginalized and rejected even by those, such as myself, who are otherwise in agreement with the need and requirement of change.

Perhaps when elections are demonstratively ineffective - "when in the Course of human events it becomes necessary to dissolve the political bands" which connect us with an illegitimate government - then talk to me about taking up arms against my brother. Until then I will march, write, speak or even sit-in and suffer imprisonment to fight emasculation of the Constitution. Leave the threats of violence out of it.

First of all - I pray for peace!

I think the vast majority of FReepers pray for peace!

I do not think Patriots will fire the first shots in a Second Civil War.

Especially as they know the last civil war cost the lives of 600,000 Americans (3% of the population), the destruction of half the country and hate lasting 100 years.

HOWEVER,

War is like fire, easy to start, hard to control and impossible to put out once if grows to certain level.

And there are many ways civil war could be ignited in these troubled times - one major way would be by a massive civil disobedience that has been proposed in Washington, D.C. - for instance, shutting down the road system.

If something like that happens we can expect our Leftist dominated government to react with brute force. The police overreact. People get hurt. People defend themselves. Then someone starts shooting a gun...Casualties! The bloody shirt is waved before TV cameras. Then...

especially since we do have motivation coming from the recent elections. What we are trying to do is get the American people to open their eyes, when enough has then Washington will be neutered.

A sustainable occupation of DC, unlike all events that have gone before.

I was there for the Taxpayers March on DC with so many of like minded Americans. If you subdivided that many people by 52 and somehow make it affordable for them to do their ‘tour to DC’, I think we would have a occupation force that would build from week to week.

We need to learn from the past and continue to make the difference. It is OUR country, and we are taking it back. NO comprehensive reform, sheer overthrow of all that corrupts OUR government. No more fruitless events, but like you said “to have the character and courage”. To start what can only be finished by a rebirth of OUR government. The way it was intended to be.

A well laid out plan will pick up a lot more supporters, and I like many have taken the oath already.

Give good guidance and add me to the ping list.

01-21-2011 Occupation/Siege on DC begins.

There should be print-outs made of what you've just written and handed out to everyone, as a constant reminder of who we are and what we must do.

George Washington and the patriots lost many a battle, UNTIL THEY WON THE WAR.

The patriots of this great country went to war with the British for much less than the breadth and scope of the tyranny we are dealing with from this socialist/marxist/communist/revolutionary/muslim sympathizer government. The patriots of yore felt fear, doubt and they suffered as they fought...but THEY FOUGHT AND THEY WON THE WAR!

Fight your fear and dig deep down within yourself for the fortitude and resolve to stand up, join forces with others and fight for your family and your country.

The enemy is “in the wire” in Washington and nationwide. They are here and there is no denying this...now what are we going to do about it? We must work smart, strategize and fight. Say a prayer for guidance and win this war, or we will lose to the enemy and be forced to serve them on bended knee, at their whim.

Take our country back! and crush the enemy beneath your feet. Look to our forefathers and those brave, determined soldiers of past wars for examples on how it must be done.

" The enemy is “in the wire” in Washington and nationwide. "

The enemy is the " Matrix " of the whole system, they are entrenched everywhere you look, even in our Conservative Christian churches... the Feminist have infiltrated our Churches, and we need a whole army to root them out.
The enemy is entrenched in the media, and we need to root them out, and hope that they all go bankrupt.

>This might be the last chance to avoid the civil war the left so disparately wants to start, to consolidate their “power” over us.

Well, the outcome wouldn’t be exactly that. - King George probably thought the same way... and the left would shatter like glass.

The spelling on the name is actually Guy Fawkes — if you are going to google, google the term “gunpowder plot”.
