I’m not an attorney, I don’t need to prove anything. I simply comment on a political internet bulliten board and state my opinions and what I observe in the real world.

I’m sure that you are aware that James Madison proposed what became the 27th Amendment to the Constitution in 1789 and it only took 202 years for that Amendment to get ratified in 1992.

“Original intent” was for Senators to NOT be directly elected by the people, for women not to be able to vote, for slaves to count as 3/5ths of a free person for purposes of congressional apportionment and for “Indians not taxed” not to count at all for purposes of congressional apportionment.
The framers established a system of amending their work.
