Israel is supposed to be a country where religion is a daily part of life. The article tells us that they have their first same sex dancing couple in their version of the show.
Did it affect the ratings there?
Israel is a far different society than is ours, even apart from religion.

NOW- when will DWTS have the first muslim couple? The burkas ought to make cute tango costumes and it will be interesting to see where the unmarried woman’s chaperone stands during the rhumba

I don’t know how religious they are, but from my own experience from a trip to Israel in 1995 — One of the first things I was exposed to was a threesome taking place on the beach in Tel Aviv - at least it was dark and I couldn’t see much. Two days later I was walking amongst muddy and non-muddy naked people at the Dead Sea.
