Tell me about your Leupold CQ/T. I’m thinking of getting one but am having some doubts. For not too much more I can get an Aimpoint CompML2.

Love to! :-) I can't comment on the Aimpoint. Don't have one. Regarding Leupold... well... part of it is that I have a real soft spot for Leupold ever since my first gold-ring 4x Leupold scope I got for my .270 Ruger years ago. They just make really nice stuff. The circle-dot sight makes for simply instantaneous target acquisition. I love the 1x, simple optical sight for close quarters. But it's nice to have the 3x zoom if you have something at longer range. The circle-dot works with or without a battery. With a AA battery, you can use the lighted reticle, with a variable brightness adjustment. Again... nothing to think about. Put the dot on the target and squeeze. So... there's that.

Thanks. The Leupold 1x14mm prismatic scope looks interesting too, just because it’s so small. I also like the fact that it has a focusing eyepiece and the reticle is etched into the glass. I just wish they made a magnifier for it.
