A flash mob hit Macy's in Center City on Saturday - 650 vocalists who, unknown to shoppers, had arranged to burst into song at noon.

The Video is AWESOME!!!

Agreed. But the Word tells us that it is God who ALLOWS rulers to rule.

In one night he removed Belshazzar.

If My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Why be cynical about such a nice thing as this?

I very much wish that I’d been there for that. FANTASTIC idea!

How I would loved just to stand in the middle of all of that and receive the FULL effect! It brings tears to the eyes! Imagine Heaven!

Every time I watch or see one of these videos I wind up smiling and crying at the same time...nice to see happiness.

I very much enjoy symphonic classical music, but have never been a big opera fan. This, and the other such selections posted in this thread, seem to me to have an impact that a musically-identical performance in a music hall wouldn’t, to me.

Not sure why that is, but I like it.

It is a wonderful thing. However....in this economy compared to the area of Florida where I live, my first thought was that this must be an old clip. It is awesome that there is still somewhere in America where (regardless of the 650 singers), there are so many out shopping.

Ever listen to Pop Opera? Stuff like Andrea Bocelli or Sarah Brightman.

I'm not big into opera, but have enjoyed some of the most popular stuff more so over the last few years.

Sarah Brightman isn't "true" opera, as real operaphiles will turn their noses. But I like her Operalite stuff.

thanks for posting this!

My favorite part was when the man lifted his child up high...so symbolic!

I was singing right along with them and this really raised my spirits!

Flash Brindisi was better.

No it wasn't. While The Instant Brindisi was fun, it was not nearly as uplifting as Handel's Messiah. :-)
