Sure they do, but... where are the others from the aircraft we know were airborne at the same time, same/similar altitude, same block of airspace. How many planes do you think there would be out over the ocean, coming in from the direction of Hawaii, at an altitude consistent with overflying the coast?

According to public and private/subscription based tracking software I've looked at there were around 60 jet aircraft airborne, at altitude during a 30 minute window (+/-15 mins) to the reported time of the sighting. Approximately half of those were either inbound or outbound of the US or flying parallel to the coastline north/south.

this, zoom out to max (85 miles), dial in Monday 11/8 at about 16:55 and happy counting!
My guess is AWE #225 (Alaska Airlines from Cabo to SFO). YMMV
