I’m a bit late to the discussion however I do not buy the “airplane contrail” aka swamp gas explanation. The residual colors are the result of a potassium permanganate oxidizer. I base this on both the video and eyewitness reports. The contrail waviness appears to be a result of gyro flight corrections and not wind shear. JMHO.
If it was a launch, why no Red Collar call from a DSP bird alarm?
If a/c, why no ATC track report? I know ATC keeps recording of all a/c tracks for at least 180 days.
