He was having an unexpected allergic reaction to a prescription anti-psychotic medication he had just started taking that morning. On orders of his doctor. This particular drug interacted with two medicines he was taking, again at a physician’s direction, to help him control his bipolar disorder, and this caused the unfortunate involuntary actions that, regrettably, transpired in the immediate aftermath of the stressful job interview he was forced to undergo.
