Of all the guns John Browning invented, his family said that little Colt (or FN) .32 was his favorite.

I have a magnet that was part of the radar on a commercial airliner (TWA). Have had it since I was a child.
I have pulled 50 gallon barrels and a toolbox full of tools up from the bottom with it.
Magnets are fun.

I always liked the look of that one. It was also the foundation for Han Solo’s pistol if I remember right.

I am not sure if it still is but not many years ago, a copy of that little 1899 FN .32 was the official military issue handgun for North Korea.

Um, doesn’t losing metal from a tube that needs to handle a high amount of pressure in a short amount of time worry you?

I have a CWP from WA and carry a Beretta Tomcat in .32cal ... that’s when I’m home .... I think the Bobcat is in .25cal which is no longer made.

I have a FN1900 as part of my collection of 32s. A most unusual gun, the barrel is underneath the recoil spring. The fit between the recoil slide and frame is very close, and the whole gun has a massively over engineered feel to it. It was JMBs first semi auto pistol and I believe the gun that the 32acp round was originally developed for. it’s interesting if you look at the FN1900, the Colt 1903 and the FN1910 to see how quickly pocket pistols developed in such a short time.

I guess I did pay attention to Tales Of The Gun after all. Great series, esp. on the obscure makes.

Who cares? Guns get lost, guns get tossed, guns get found. Its a non-event.

Valid question.
Both magnetism and gravity, two of the most basic elements of our planet, are not completely understood.
