“Real men use IBM.”

Ironically, IBM is no longer in the PC business.

Which type of IBM PowerPC (also ironically the same processor family that Apple formerly used) workstation running AIX Unix are you using?

Or are you referring to the IBM/Sony Cell processor in your Playstation 3...?

LOL

In fact, Mac hardware is nothing more than a slightly more advanced version of ‘normal’ PC hardware (EFI, Firewire 800 etc.). Macs have won awards several times as the best Windows machine in various categories. Mac Pros are actually less expensive than comparable Dell workstations for instance (Xeon, ECC memory etc).

Mac software (BSD Unix based MacOS X in particular) is where the Mac really shines. As a final irony it supports more open standards than oft-maligned Windows. OpenGL is one excellent example.

Apple computers have been growing marketshare much faster than the industry average over the last few years, and are scarcely limited to any particular “lifestyle”. Rush Limbaugh is one of the more famous Mac fans. ;-)

It appears that you’re trying to imply that OpenGL is not supported on Windows. I’m not even sure how to answer such ridiculousness.

I think he is referring to IBM big iron. Climate controlled rooms, hand wound core memory, men in white coats monitoring the system.

Ah, the glory days.

IBM MicroChannel technology is the only way to go with a PC.

It's a specific subset of the hardware available in a "normal" PC, but there isn't anything there that isn't available for that "normal" PC.
