MOST DEFINETLY Neils version. There's something about the rumble or rasp in Neils voice that gives the song character.
Engelbert is music you listen to, having dinner with a HOT babe. Somewhere before Tom Jones then Teddy Tenderass then Luther then Barry White.
Unless you're not interested in dinner, then skip everyone else and go to Barry.

Kinda...Being that he's...flamboyant...shall we say, I'm not sure he makes it into the male part (but hey, they've mentioned Freddie Mercury) and I wouldn't call what Halford does singing. He's got a sound thats great for Judas Priest, but singing "talent"...NO
Thats like saying Axl Rose is a good singer.

The claim is that Jay Black was in command of the most octaves of any male singer. Just go and listen to Cara Mia sometime
The crazy thing is is that he did that song without resorting to falsetto.
