A coon that is out in the daytime is highly likely to be rabid. Best to have everyone checked out...
That would be a possum....
Do you think that might be a skunk, not a coon?
Yes, I was thinking skunk maybe, but you’re right, it’s a possum.
When I open the door to let my dog in, I am always grateful she wasn't the main target..:O)
I refer you to the possum photo here—

That’s a possum....
Of course it’s a possum.
Definitely a possum. Saw it run across the yard when I let the dogs out, got a few shots of it up the tree. They look like big nasty rats (except those sharp teeth!). But, I only have the one coon photo. So, I have to bug you with this one. :) Otherwise, I will have to haunt you with spiders and things.
I doubt I will get close enough to a skunk to get a photo. :)
Your pictures are good. Must have a nice camera..GG
I was playing with google one day and found some country in Africa (or the middle east dont remember which) that has tree climbing goats...saw a tree with about 7 goats in it...they can get out on the branches for the fruit....I just raised ground dwelling Angora's...
And sometimes in the Austin area we see goats in trees. It's the darndest thing. The goat photo I posted belongs to one of my friends, btw.
Some on FR would say I am the exception to the rule. Too old to care but don't try to deliberately offend. (well maybe once or twice when attacked.)
Pretty good for a spider web. The are hard to picture because of their transparentcy I guess..Pretty web, yucky spider in it...:O)
At another house I had, was just dumbfounded as I saw a large spider web while the babies were hatching...hundreds of them...
Interesting that tree climbing goats are in the states, but then again, its Texas...First with most things...
Angora goats were originally introduced to the US via Texas also...They have millions in some areas of the state and the last I heard about 90% of all angora's...
I think my friend’s goats are milk goats. She makes soap with the milk (or used to, not sure if she’s doing that anymore). I love to visit her farmette, you never know what’s going to be going on there! :)
Thats for sure, you never know what will happen...Having dairy goats is as bad as dairy cows...they have to get milked even if your sick as dog and a temp over 101...Hardest farming is dairy farming....goats or cows..
Yes, that’s why I’m not sure she’s doing the milk goats anymore. She runs a boarding kennel, so she’s plenty busy. She only had a few goats (maybe 4?) Had chickens, horses, turkeys, geese, some sort of sheep. She has a lot more energy than I do! :)
