I, too, reject the premise.
I see no point in America having two socialist parties, one secularist, the other devoted to some quasi-Christian civil religion (vague enough to form a big tent for protestants and Mormons), and I trust that the electorate will feel the same way come 2012.

I agree with your assessment. Two socialist parties, one secularist and the other some quasi-Christian civil religion, is NOT a viable two party system.
Romney and Huckabee are both unacceptable choices. I would refuse to vote for the Presidency, I would NOT in ANY CIRCUMSTANCES “stay home” and shame on any who suggest it. But I would leave my ballot blank on the question of who should be President.
