I'll start it off by casting my vote (with my toes, while holding my nose with both hands)for Mittens Romulus just because I think he obviously has better business acumen, he has more home states and he'd probably be more inclined to tap Sarah as his running mate (he's rino-ish but he's shrewd).

As a business owner, I’d go with Romney. He understands economics and capital.

Of course, I hope the nominee is someone who didn’t run in 2008. We need new leaderships. Has beens who couldn’t win last time probably won’t win this time.

I really don’t think Romney can overcome the sacred underwear factor. Christie should do a “Huckabee” and lose 100 lbs. Hussein without teleprompters couldn’t hold a candle to Christie in a debate.

Allowing the eneMedia to choose our candidate got us McCain. Have we not learned our lesson?

This is a depressing choice. Like suicide watch kind of choice. But, if I had to choose one of them to save my life, I’d pick Romney.

I personally could choose to sit out the Presidential vote rather than vote for Romney. I feel that he will just hurt the Republican party’s reputation and will bend with whatever wind that blows. Obama is a monster, so it will be hard not to go with Romney if he’s the nominee. But I don’t think Romney will do the hard things, and we need a President with a spine or we are all done for in this environment.

What's the question again?

Would I rather stick hot pokers in my eyes or would I prefer to have my scalp yanked off?

Hmmmm.....tough decision...

Well, if after a couple weeks of water boarding and sleep deprivation, someone put a gun to my head and gave me that choice, and then put a gun to my wife or child's head after I said go ahead and shoot me, I guess I'd go with Romney.

Romney. But for various reasons, I think it’s unlikely to come down to that choice.

I held my nose and voted for McCain because of Palin. I will not be doing that again.

Romney is like Scott Brown, look at what he has done and said. He may be “electable”, but you won’t like what you get.

Huckabee may be a “conservative”, but he is not a constitutional conservative. It will take a constitutional conservative to get my vote.

If the Republicans cannot field a acceptable candidate then I will be looking third party. I will not hold my nose again.

I’d go with Huckabee with those two choices. I like Huckabee. I dislike Romney. Huckabee is straightforward at least relative to Romney. Romney is a lying power hungry snake — if being pro-abortion, pro-socialized medicine helps him, he does it. And vice versa. Romney won’t act in a principled way and we need actual hard decisions to be made, implemented, defended against the apparent odds, and then political victory when we see the hard changes working. Romney is not the man, he’ll go with the polls. I don’t know what Huckabee would do.

As with everyone else in this thread - NEITHER, but since I don’t think the Country can stand 0bama or Hildabeast, it would come down to who the VP Candidate was and how much real influence they would have.

The huckster gave illegals instate tuition in Arkansas and Mitt is willing to implement ‘comprehensive immigration reform’(amnesty). Neither.

Running total thus far 13 shakey votes for Romney, 1 vote for Huck, a few threats of disolving citizenship and an avalanche of suicide threats.

OOooh, tough choice. Romney seems much smarter, but Huck seems less the crusading leftist. Can I go half way? (Indiana?)

In all seriousness, if it comes down to those two, about half of the voters will stay home...I know I will.

Those two refugees from the clowns hall of fame are about as worthless as juan mccain't.

Romney, a GOP Elite cocktail waitress would would serve a lap dance to his GOP "betters" on demand.

Huckabee, a rube who will attract only hard-line Bible belt, single-issue voters and bass guitar players.

Accusations of voters suffering from one phobia or another abound these days, but the GOP establishment suffers from "MamaGrizzlyPhobia"...a fear of women taking offices away from the men in the GOP political arena.

Without some severe ballot box stuffing, it's doubtful that any conservative will win the White House without the blessing of the TPM (and the womens' vote), and these two bobbleheads have been critical of the TPM since it started, or, at least tried to take credit for its formation.

So - IMHO - if conservatives want to make a GRAVE mistake and end up with obama or hillary as president, then go ahead and support Captain Hairspray or Gomer Huckaby.

If I had to pick one, with no other option, I would pick Huckabee. Romney is not a conservative. He imposed the failed state wide mandatory insurance program in Massachusetts. He is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

No politician who is truly conservatrive can EVER rise to the top in Massachusetts. A good example is Brown. More conservative than the rest, but not really a conservative.

Romney will give us the same thing we have had all the years of the Bush regimes; Democrat Lite.

I would rather bet on Huckabee.
