OK, so it flew all the way to Mumbai only to land in ‘emergency condition’ because of an unidentified object in the cargo hold.

hmmm.

Ya don’t inspect the cargo hold once you are in the air.

This article is odd at best.

My thought exactly. How do you discover an unidentified object in the cargo hold at the end of the flight?

Na, it’s not odd at all. And neither is it odd that our president and his family and 3000 people, 40 planes, 34 war ships, no coconut trees aloud, and a kilometer tunnel built for ohaha, from the Taj to the Gahndi Museum. s/

Agreed. But we have to remember that this is just some reporter's version of what somebody told them, which they interpret in a vacuum of actual knowledge of any subject matter. On literally any story, the truth is almost always different from how it was reported. Sometimes in trivial ways, and sometimes in critical ways.

Here, I'm guessing that something was discovered in the paperwork about some cargo, after the plane was airborne, by somebody that thinks there's something suspicious about it.
