I went to this site:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Miss_America_winners_by_state
I did not see 2 consecutive winners from one state except for MS. I have an awful headache and could have missed some.
He used to host a sort of talk show probably 15 or 16 years ago that we were able to get here, but haven’t seen him in too much since then because we don’t pick up too many channels. He always seemed like a nice guy, but he evidently has an alcohol problem. I think Mary Ann Mobley has been sick with an intestinal problem for years, wasn’t able to do much, seemed to take pride in the fact that she did not cook, etc., so I guess he’s had his share of problems in life like most. Hope he gets well; her, too.

I never heard of that rule. So if Miss Mississippi wins one year, the following year whoever is Miss Mississippi knows that she has no chance to win?
Yep, kind of sad in a way. It is not fair to the next whatever state winner.
I looked at the picture and thought he was perhaps wearing heels.
I would think girls from the winner’s state would wait another year if possible, rather than compete without any chance of winning.
I’d taze him just for the fruity loafers.
I’ve never heard that rule. I’m from Mississippi and used to watch the pageant every year and even watched the Miss Mississippi pageant when they started showing it on tv. My mother never told me that rule, and she always talked about MAM and LLM. There may have been an unwritten rule about it.
I think his wife now has an illness, Crohns disease.....maybe life is not easy for Collins right now
Character actor. Played the navigator in the original “Airport”. Married to Mary Ann Mobley, former Miss America 1959. Currently he does infomercials. This is his fourth pop for DUI.
