KVI has been dying for a while as a conservative news source, ever since they canned Kirby Wilbur. I hope Brian Suits lands a local gig.

“Seattle’s Greatest Hits”

Are they going to play the grunge hits of 20 years ago?

So now all we have is KTTH? They need to dump Medved and take on some of the locals from KVI.

Running 25 minutes of commercials per hour killed KVI, just like all the other radio. I remember commuting to work, took 20 minutes, and sometimes it was a 100% blabber/commerical listen. So, in about 1998 I quit listening to the radio period. KVI at one time, was the source for conservative talk. Now, it’s FR and other net sources.

Medved is one of the best and most intelligent, most thoughtful non-reich-wyng reactionary hosts in existence.

This is sad news. When I moved to Seattle in 2001, it was nice to find a conservative station amid all the liberal craziness. There are conservatives in the area, why wasn’t there enough support to keep a conservative station going?

Anyone know where Wilber wound up?

Don’t get him started on bigfoot sightings of Civil War battlefield ghosts though.

There’s a couple of funny guys I listen to on KSTE in Sacramento, Armstong and Getty. I now listene to the podcasts since I’ve moved away.

The average 60 minute podcast comes in at 35 minutes. I had no idea there was 25 minutes of fluff in each hour. Plus, the 35 minutes include teases for upcoming segments.

Still, it is good to listen to commercial free.

I’ve been waiting to hear The Kingsmen, Hendrix, Heart, and Alice in Chains all in one place.

it always pains me when he does those shows dedicated to
bigfoot or conspiracies. I love it when he takes on
lib moonbats and records their soundbytes for my amusement.

So today on his show when he agreed with a caller that saying “we are taking our country back” is basically racist makes him thoughtful how?

Reich wyng? What the hell is that? FYI: the Nazis to which you are possibly referring were NATIONAL SOCIALISTS - like Obama.

Taking our country back refers to taking it back from the communists/socialists in power right now - nothing to do with race. If he is so stupid to think it has racial overtones, he has no place as a supposed conservative talk show host. Period.

They sold out to the local libs since 2003, time for a new radio station to take over the mantel of conservative guardian of the North West.

And don’t ask him to document Zer0’s eligibility, either.

Not unless you want to experience a total Medved meltdown.

I don't know where Wilbur ended up. I think he had gotten into a rut, and spent too much time on marginal stories that got me yawning. He needed a new producer, but got the shaft instead.

His firing wasn't handled well - one day he was there, the next day he was gone, with no warning. I've never cared much for Brian Suits, and haven't listened to KVI for quite a while.

If it’s like the other oldies stations, they’ll play the same 40 songs over and over, every day.

I don’t hold it against him that he’s not a birther.
Wasting energy in that direction is, well, a waste of energy. It will accomplish zip zero nada.

Conservative talk radio uses too many big words for Seattle's population.

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.
