job's job is to stand on a soap box and sell liver pills... his rants have been proved false at times. Apple will lose this battle just like the Iphone has lost the battle. “droids are now seen 10 to 1 around these parts... bought one myself yesterday... and will buy a Windows 7 phone in the future.

If Jobs is a carnival barker as you describe him then why are some many companies intent on copying Apple? Why did you buy an Android phone which is a knockoff of iOS? Apple reinvented the entire smartphone category. That’s a bit more than vaporware liver pills.

iPhone has lost a battle? It just bumped up ahead of BB in market share. Not sure how that is a loss. One iPhone comes to VZ it’s only going to grow larger at the expense of Android phones.

But lets not get off topic — this thread was about the 7” Android tablet. I don’t see any sweat beading off Apple’s noses. iOS 4.2 is set to be released in a week or so with AirPlay and wireless printing. Apple is hardly sitting on it’s laurels. Well see if Android can eclipse the iPad, but my bet would be not. We’ll see.

They already won. Apple has what, $50,000,000,000 in cash? They win. Remember the iPad was supposed to be a disaster? Same with the iPhone and iPod. The iTunes store, what a joke. Remember?

Jobs saw the future and has out foxed everyone. The distribution of media content is where Apple has trumped everyone. The entertainment industry knows that they have a winner in Apple. I am sure Apple does not mind selling tv, music and movies to droid, or zune. They took simple ideas and innovated, created and improved what were generally crappy experiences before.

If the battle was lost, why in the hell is every company following their lead? Thumbs up to an American company showing the rest of world what we are capable of. I am happy to see American greatness still exists in companies like Apple.

Why did you have to introduce a personal attack to try to support your phone? Making a mockery of another American because of his brush with death due to cancer is pathetic. The man has grown an amazing company even while he was “selling liver pills”.
