How come we see it all the time on FR if it’s too big to post?
To: yorkie
Screen got a little blurry there!
Thank you for that, yorkie.
Happy Birthday USMC!

Good evening, Meg.
So sorry to hear that your back is acting up again.
Please take it easy.
We miss you when you are away and know that you would be here if you could.
Your penquins are so cute. Thank you.
I think I failed to thank you for your Sunday Thread.
I had planned to come by but like always,
I got involved in something here and failed to make an appearance.
Thank you for being here every Sunday with beautiful scripture and wonderful graphics.

Thank you, Jaycee.
With Marissa, I think the main thing was that she could take a ‘Dad’, instead of feeling left out.
I will be thinking of and praying for you tomorrow.
Big Hugs.

I wasn’t invited to ‘Donuts with Dad’. LOL
Whenever I get a copy of the picture taken, I will try to get it scanned. I think they both enjoyed it.
Mr J’s appt went well. They scheduled him for hernia surgery on Dec 7th. It will be out-patient. He has to be at hospital by 10:00 for the 12:00 surgery. He should be released sometime between 4:00 and 5:00. I’m going to see in Jr can take off work early so he can pick Marissa up before 5:00.
That will be interesting because it will be her 11th birthday. I think I will order an ice cream cake and maybe buy a frozen pizza for dinner.

Yes ... that is a favorite. Did you try to reduce it?
It is so large, that it probably can’t be reduced enough.

Hi, Teenie.
The graphic is not too big for FR but in consideration of those on dialup, I have asked that graphics be kept at 100,000 bytes or below.
Since this thread is so graphic entensive, some of our friends cannot visit if we have really large graphics. One or two graphics at 110,000 may cause no problem, but when we have 5 or 6 at 150,000, some on dialup have had their computers freeze up.
Thanks for understanding.

Selfless Love
November 11, 2010
On December 4, 2007, a 19-year- old soldier serving in Iraq saw a grenade being thrown from a rooftop. Manning the machine gun in the turret of his Humvee, he tried to deflect the explosivebut it fell inside his vehicle. He had time to jump to safety. Instead, he threw his body over the grenade in a stunningly selfless act that saved the lives of four fellow soldiers.
This almost unexplainable act of self-sacrifice may help us understand why the Bible tells us that there is a kind of love that is more honorable than having great knowledge or faith (1 Cor. 13:1-3).
This kind of love can be hard to findleading the apostle Paul to lament that more people care for themselves than for the interests of Christ (Phil. 2:20-21). Thats why he was so grateful for Epaphroditus, a co-worker who came close to death, not regarding his life in order to serve others (v.30).
If we think we could never put our own life on the line for others, Epaphroditus shows us the first step with his selfless example. Such love is neither normal nor common, and it doesnt come from us. It comes from the Spirit of God, who can give us the desire and ability to feel for others some of the inexpressible affection God has for us.
To give up yourself for others
Seems like such a tough thing to do;
But thats how you can know for sure
That Gods love is working through you. Branon
For the work of Christ [Epaphroditus] came close to death, not regarding his life.
