Rav, I started school at Bridgeport Elementary ( and even graduated from kindergarten in cap and gown!) then moved across the hill and went to Upper Merion schools. My father went there too and we had a few of the same teachers; he when they first started teaching and I when they were retiring.
My mom went to Norristown High. I taught in Norristown for a year before moving.
Small world, as you so aptly described.
I went to Norristown High (one year at the 'old high school' Eisenhower and 2 at the new one), college at West Chester and now live in Conshohocken...I agree, the names are weird...but Poughkeepsie? Yonkers?? Schenectady??? C'mon! ;-))
