As an Australian who loves America,I'm not sure what to think looking at that picture.

I do wonder what America's enemies might think of it though.Some might think it's fitting that infidel Americans should bow and scrape before a muslim leader.Whatever,it's not a good image.

As an American who loves America, this image is both horrifying...and heartbreaking.
I can’t see any humor in it whatsoever. None.

During the Great Depression, FDR’s “Farm Security Administration” sent out many photographers to capture the plight of impoverished Americans. In 1940, he realized that all those photos made America look weak before its enemies and the nature of the photos immediately changed to show America as muscular and strong. Agitprop at its finest.

What’s interesting is you don’t see a single photo of the poorest of the poor begging during the GD. People had tremendous pride and integrity then.
