a young man in the prime of life, aged between 19 and 24 years old. His bones were more than 2,500 years old.

Wow, a 20-year-old guy with 2,500-year-old bones. How did that happen? Or did they mean his bones are 2,500 years old?

Since he died at 20, the bones are actually only 2480 years old. ;’)
