Yes, but everywhen he goes, there are evil aliens trying to take over London and destroy the earth.

If the lady can travel from the future, you would think they could fix her limp...

It is not the cell phone part it is the traveling back in time part. So the question still stands.

I agree. Also, at least make her physically symmetric. They should have been able to identify that.

It is not the cell phone it is the time travel part that needs the technical expertise. That is a non trivial activity...The cell phone just came along for the ride.

If they could travel back in time then they would have hands free communicators. Probably implanted in their adventurous skulls.

Western Electric Model 34A "Audiphone" Carbon Hearing Aid

Only problem with it being a hearing aid is that the person is holding the battery case up to his/her ear rather than the ear piece. Also, that model uses 3 "D" size batteries which are the large ones used in today's flashlights.

My theory on the man or woman is that it's Charlie Chaplin himself. He was about 5'4" and wore big shoes in many of his movies. It would be a great joke to dress as a woman and just wander through the shot though I still don't know what the "cell phone" might be.

His lips appear to have been whitened with salve against high-altitude sun. Those are mountaineering glasses. Sweater is an M (Michigan?) The sunlight appears similar to that on other’s cheeks. He ssems to be looking a different angle than most people, almost slightly down. Five o’clock shadow. Not sure I would claim he’s wearing a hoody. What is he holding in his hands? Camera?
I’ve seen photos from golf tournaments in the 40’s where almost every fan is wearing sunglasses, so I’m not sure it’s totally significant here. Could he have been photo-shopped? His hair style is highly reminiscent of a 40’s cut. Could have just been some college boy who was a loner, oddball, 40’s hippie? Very interesting.

You missed my point completely.

Limps do not get cured at the present time, so why would anyone expect the ‘traveler’ with what is presently a common device, but in the near future probably will not be, to have had her limp cured?

Illogical.

Really? We just started the David Tennant/Martha season. We’re looking forward to the next Doctor/companion set.

Obviously, without a TV, we have to buy or rent the series we want to watch, so we’re at least one season behind on most shows. In the case of “Paladin,” we’re 50 years behind.

We’re accumulating quite a library.

What good would a cell phone do her before cell towers?

She has the next generation of cellphone technology. Doesn't require towers.

The REAL answer is just as interesting. She IS a time traveller but that's a little transistor radio she's jamming to. 23 skidoo!

Well, the secret is out, so we may talk about it. The Bilderbergs had a private cellphone network established around 1925, using advanced technology not generally available until the late 1950s (check the patent records, pal, if you don’t believe me.) How do you suppose these power brokers could exercise so much control over the affairs of the world? This explains much at last, doesn’t it?!

They got a real kick out of seeing yuppies schlepping around expensive walkie talkie phones in the 1980s.

It’s cold, she’s trying to cover her ear, she’s old and she’s talking to herself. Either that or that zebra just far**d ....

That was no zebra, that was a pimp.
