This really is the worst of both worlds. Either ignore her and let her do drugs or make her face the consequences of her actions, but don’t pretend to deal with the issue and then let her off the hook and make the criminal justice system more of a joke than it is. If others would go back to jail after repeated probation violations, so should she. And in the long run, that is the only type of treatment that will scare her into not using drugs. A month or two in a cushy rehab won’t. A year in jail the best treatment for her.
