If kids aren’t learning, point the finger squarely at their parents and the teachers. The 60s generation’s method of parenting and teaching is turning out to be a disaster when put into practice now that they are in charge.
And they give them constantly. The kids are tested for over two hours a day for about two weeks in the fall and again in the spring. It used to be mostly fourth grade and maybe a middle and upper grade. But its now getting to be that they're testing every year.
According to information from the The Daughters of The American Revolution I read a few years ago some 36% of American college students have absolutely no idea about when the Revolution was fought, or who were any of the Founders. They were equally as ignorant of Civil War history as well as the histories of World War One and Two.
