China's notorious safety standards has made it one of the world's deadliest countries for miners, with some 2,631 miners being killed in 2009 alone.

But the Chinese produce stuff so much cheaper, without all that terrible government over-regulation. Isn't that all that matters? Just think how much more expensive their coal would be if they had to put up with OSHA.
