Dancing With the Stars week 5 performance show is Oct. 18, and it could mean that Bristol Palin is eliminated on Oct. 19. The past two weeks have seen her and dancing partner Mark Ballas consistently at the bottom of the weekly scoreboard.
Both times Palin and Ballas have been just ahead of the lowest scoring couple, getting saved each week, despite being placed in jeopardy by the combination of judges' scores and audience home votes.
Last week, Palin and Ballas were eighth place out of nine couples, just ahead of The Situation and Karina Smirnoff during week 4 of Dancing With the Stars. It was down to these two couples at the end of the show, and it was The Situation and Smirnoff who were sent home.
The previous week, Palin and Ballas were just ahead of Margaret Cho and Louis Van Amstel, but it was Cho and Van Amstel who went home. Now all of the low-scoring couples have been voted off the show, leaving Palin and Ballas very vulnerable at the bottom of the scoring so far this season.
As with any reality competition show, things can shift from week to week, and it could lead to Palin and Ballas putting up their best scores of the season.
So far in the season, Palin and Ballas have averaged a score of 18 out of 30, which isn't good by any stretch of the imagination. Maybe this is the week where they really impress the judges, though, making their elimination a rash prediction.
The Oct. 18 Dancing With the Stars performance begins at 8 p.m. on ABC, with the promotions for the show stating that they will all be dancing to TV theme songs.

You go, girl!
Sarah said in a speech yesterday “Be happy, and show it! It’ll drive your opponents crazy.” (paraphrased)
BTW, I caught a glimpse of Willow at DWTS last night. She is stunningly beautiful.
The Palins are such a happy, healthy, optimistic family.
she's young, so she should be careful... she hasn't hit 30 yet, which is when many women's metabolism slows down... she does look good right now (unless you don't like the "full" look)... just because someone might not like that look doesn't mean they want a woman with a 12-year old boy body... there are in-between looks... i am speaking from my own experience... i had the body of a mannequin until i turned 30... put on 25 pounds in less than a year, mainly because i kept living like i always had... i could never gain weight... suddenly, i was gaining weight...
it's taken a lot of effort on my part, but i am back in shape... my body is not what it was before i was 30--it is curvier/womanly now... but not fat...
LOL. And just as mean and spiteful.
Aw, thanks antceecee! I did sleep soundly.
ROFL. Have a look at the pic maggief posted just below your post to me...lol.
Never mind, here’s the link:

I voted and voted. She has beautiful legs and also a beautiful smile.
If I want to see tooth picks, I’ll buy a box.
Why is Jennifer Grey even allowed to be in this so-called competition? She was a professional dancer for heaven’s sake.
This is worse than the Kristi Yamaguchi scenario in a prior season — not a dancer per se, but certainly had plenty of dance training along with her ice skating training.
It irritates me when they throw in someone who will undoubtedly be far above the others in terms of skill and experience.
I wonder why JaneNC signed up with FR back in ‘05? There is no record of one thing she has said on FR in all this time — maybe this person just happened over here from her usual haunt, DU? I smell a real Palin-hater here.
Forget my #308 - did not click twice on “in forum” re JaneNC. She has written many posts — just can’t stand Bristol Palin, I guess!
Rooting for Bristol is like rooting for the child of a friend, it is weird that haters would extend their hate to a child in that way.
So what if ones child, ones niece, or a child of a friend does not do great in a contest....why would anyone take glee in that?
Weird people on FR, that is for sure. Maybe she is just a youngster too, about 14 years old?
GAAAAHHHHH!!!
Shame on you!
:)

I don’t know, but I hope she survives for another week.
She’s tried her best and she’s been brave and I think she’s had fun.
Too bad the judges threw her off track some weeks back with crappy advice, just when “I” thought she was hitting her stride.
OK!
I would have liked to see Bristol with another instructor, one who wouldn’t have put her in a monkey suit.
With the lowest score and second lowest Dialidol ranking,it’s not looking good.
