Dancing With the Stars week 5 performance show is Oct. 18, and it could mean that Bristol Palin is eliminated on Oct. 19. The past two weeks have seen her and dancing partner Mark Ballas consistently at the bottom of the weekly scoreboard.
Both times Palin and Ballas have been just ahead of the lowest scoring couple, getting saved each week, despite being placed in jeopardy by the combination of judges' scores and audience home votes.
Last week, Palin and Ballas were eighth place out of nine couples, just ahead of The Situation and Karina Smirnoff during week 4 of Dancing With the Stars. It was down to these two couples at the end of the show, and it was The Situation and Smirnoff who were sent home.
The previous week, Palin and Ballas were just ahead of Margaret Cho and Louis Van Amstel, but it was Cho and Van Amstel who went home. Now all of the low-scoring couples have been voted off the show, leaving Palin and Ballas very vulnerable at the bottom of the scoring so far this season.
As with any reality competition show, things can shift from week to week, and it could lead to Palin and Ballas putting up their best scores of the season.
So far in the season, Palin and Ballas have averaged a score of 18 out of 30, which isn't good by any stretch of the imagination. Maybe this is the week where they really impress the judges, though, making their elimination a rash prediction.
The Oct. 18 Dancing With the Stars performance begins at 8 p.m. on ABC, with the promotions for the show stating that they will all be dancing to TV theme songs.

Yes, she has lost some weight.
She got the lowest scores and missed so many steps tonight.,
She should be going home....the performance was goofy and not even well done.
Adios Bristol.

They forget that King David danced naked before God. His own wife criticized him for it too.
Actually I thought that her dance tonight was her best one yet, simply because she seemed more relaxed and her costume was the cutest one yet for her. Who cares if she missed some steps? That being said, I still think that she will be happy when she gets voted off. She is painfully shy for this kind of exhibitionism. I hope it has helped her come out of her shell a bit and I hope she made a pile of money. When she is voted off, I will go with her. I’m only watching it to see her.
You are so right about the ratings.
DWTS has had fabulous ratings and I think ABC has a pretty good idea of why. If not, they are dim.
Once Bristol is gone, the ratings will drop dramatically. I, for one, will lose interest.
I think they will keep her on as long as they reasonably can. I voted for her on line the max number.
Yeah, I enjoyed the video also. the outfits were good after taking the suits off. (Suits— a mistake — went with the monkees theme but not worth it)
I thought Bristol looked really good. She’s definitely lost all her baby fat and her legs looked great. It was a cute dance. Maybe not professional, but then, she is not a professional.
I think the votes will give her another week. She is just sooo cute.
Whoa...major cattiness attack!
I think Brandy is a very accomplished young woman and wish her all the best.
... hmmmm... I think your post calls you out as NOT very Christian....
I always hope that when people come face to face with those they disparage, somehow they come to find the humanity in the other and can come closer to that person. Sadly not the case with Ms. Cho. I myself as a woman in mid-fifties cannot fathom trashing someone the age of my own daughter.
LOL. New email addresses! You’re absolutely fabulous.
If she goes tomorrow night, I’m gone too.
what is the west coast number to vote for Bristol?
Is the call free?
Can you call from a land line?
I am always busy around here but I do manage to get a peek at DWTS.
I look at Kyle and Palin and see the extra wieght as childhood baby fat.
They both look so young and Palin is not obese/fat just thick built like her Daddy.
Kyle is a lil chubbo but no one mentions that.
He has youth on his side, and maybe a lil DNA influence along with enjoying good grub.
I like Baby but I wish she had left her nose unaltered.
The basketball player is just darn handsome and very manly. I like that he took his dance partner to meet his coaches so she could understand his ability to listen to direction as he put it.
The red haired Star is not shining for some reason. And I like her but not getting into the spot light yet.
Florence did well tonight but I don’t get the Sexy Grandma/Grampa stuff.
Grandma Florence doing a hip grind is a turn off and takes away from her over all talent and being Mrs. Brady as she is so well known or Wesson Oil, keep the oil for the fried Chicken on the stove not the bedroom. Hah wipe that image out of your heads. LOL
Brandy, now is it me? or does she seem a little snobby-ish? But she did good tonight in her dance.
The beginning of the show almost made me snooze off and KV did fall asleep before the dances started.
To much re capping in the start of the show....boring.
After reading about Margaret, I’m sure she’s a libtard. Those people are mean, bitter and seem to hate and envy others, which is a terrible way to go through life. I know it’s impossible for you to even imagine yourself thinking like Cho, and God bless you for it, dear antceecee.

Remember to Vote on Nov. 2 and take out the trash....
nite all
Yes, Bristol is large...but she has shed some lbs, methinks.
She was terrible tonight and will be going home, despite the adulation of the groupies who think they are voting for Sarah Palin.
It might be too late to vote via phone.
