A couple of these looked really interesting, though the only one I've heard of before was the John Cassavetes show ("Johnny Staccato").

Be interesting to see how many of these other FReepers remember. Especially the one with Mr. Roeper (Norman Fell) as a cop, LOL.

Some shows need to be forgotten.

As a mere lad in the 1960’s the only one I remember is T.H.E. Cat and more faintly Johnny Staccato. The others...nada!

I've never seen or even heard of any of those shows - and those were from the time before shows were canceled after one bad night in the ratings. I did get a kick out of the young Burt Reynolds in the Hawk.

I was around then and watching TV - the only ones I can remember are Gene Barry as Amos Burke and Robert Loggia as (T)homas (H)ewitt (E)dward Cat.

“Robert Loggia as (T)homas (H)ewitt (E)dward Cat.”

Ahhh, so THAT is what ‘T.H.E. Cat’ stands for!

Amos Burke - puffing a cigarette then shooting. Yeah!

I wish any of these were MY theme song!

They’re all great, definitely. I’m most partial the Mr. Broadway theme, though. Because Dave Brubeck is the man, and so was Craig Stevens (Peter Gunn is one of my all time favorite tv shows).

Sadly I remember watching almost all of these. To Chase A Million isn't that familiar but I know I watched it once or twice.

Out of this group my favorite was Burke's Law. That was a cool show.

Anyone else remember East Side/West Side with George C Scott? Not on the list and not one of my favs but no one seems to remember it today.

Of all the old shows (non kiddie types) Peter Gunn was my fav!

FWIW I just finished watching the set of Route 66 episodes on DVD. Some of those, especially the first season, were dark! IIRC George Kennedy had a small part in the first episode.

Wasn’t that Anne Francis and didn’t she have a mole on her left cheek? Or am I confusing her with someone else?

87th Precinct was only on the air for the 61-62 season. Norman Fells character was the jaded Det. Meyer Meyer.
