Paul, I was looking at your reviews on your website MovingSnow.Com and was reading the reviews that you were giving. I must admit that you saved me from making a huge mistake. A friend of mine was going to give me his old 22 Sears Craftsman snow blower (it needs work). After reading your review on how much of a piece of crap the thing is; I went out and bought myself a 26 Troy Built 2 stage. Do you have any reviews about this machine?

I found the Troy-Built works very well when you have someone walk in front of it and shovel all the snow out of it’s way first!
last time I shopped for snowblowers, the Ariens was twice the price of the Toro. of course that’s changed now that Home Depot carries Ariens.
I found that they were basically commodities - pretty much the same. some had tank treads, some had plastic chutes, others steel ones. the chassis’ seemed to be all the same, adn the only diff was size and price. the best deal I got was a ten hp Brute for under a grand. that was twelve or thirteen years ago.
Just don’t do this:

Ariens.
All you need to know.
Thanks to everyone for the recommendations!
