Sorry if it has been posted. I know that it's old. I saw it the first time on History Channel THIS 9/11. It's an amazing interactive with REAL TIME video from people in New York.
It is very awesome in its immediacy. Again...sorry if it's a duplicate. I suggest starting by clicking on the video from NYU dorm.
The Mosque is going to be ready before the memorial?
Tht wouldnt surprise me in the least, for a couple of reasons:
1- smaller area under construction
2- no subway station directly under the mosque block
Thank you for sharing your recollections of that terrible morning. We need never to forget.
A couple of years ago on a local talk show, there was a nurse who shared her experiences while working in a hospital in the Middle East (I believe the country was Jordan, but I'm not sure). She said that when the hospital staff heard the news, it was like their team had scored a touchdown, the were all happy about the attacks. These were educated and highly skilled people!
I too, recall, that many of the people in the Middle East were celebrating in the streets. There was a sampling of opinion that I saw that at the time indicated approximately 70 per cent viewed the attacks as justified.
We should not hate, but if we forget the average person's reaction to the attack on New York was positive, we are just deluding ourselves in the name of political correctness.
And they are going to still have the Grand opening on the 9/11 anniversary?
“...we forget the average person’s reaction to the attack on New York was positive...”
No.. no...
The average person’s reaction was not positive.
I don’t know, I anticipate delays at both sites, as is the norm.
If it does go as planned, you can be sure the SHTF that day, in a big way.
It makes me want to burn down the mosque a few miles from my house. I mean it.
