***Secretariat...The Sarah Palin Story***
Startdate: 1010.10

Well Kids.....I have just returned from seeing the best movie this year...IMHO..."Secretariat".....

You could call it a little film, because it's a simple film in many ways.....I want to call it a great film, a wonderful film, but that's more how you feel inside watching it...

It isn't political in any way, but it will allow America, and all who see it, to better understand the deepness of our Sarah......Penny Chenery, the woman who believed in her horse and her own God given instincts, and whom this story is based on, will show you the stuff Sarah is made of.....and I believe this film will help Sarah to the White House....

Penny Chenery has the stuff American women who traveled west with their family had....True Grit if I may.....she faced the odds and believed in herself and her heart and those she chose to put her faith in, and they all performed beyond expectations....

Indeed, I believe that John Malkovich will be nominated for an Academy Award, and he deserves to win it....he is worth going for all by himself.......

And on top of that, it's a pet owners film....even if you have fish, you will appreciate them more when you return home.....I have a dog, I've always had a dog, and I couldn't help but love him a little more after seeing this film...this "simple little" film.....

Even the ending notes leave you feeling good....these are all real people and a real horse and a true story.....and while Penny Chenery is the star of the story.....there has never been a horse like Secretariat, and like the Babe...I don't think there will be again....They are icons and heroes, and something we need more of today in America.....

I saw this with my whole family, including a 10 & 11 year old. We all LOVED it!!! Fantastic!

Fred Thompson’s a good guy in it. alot of Bible references as well. And they refer to picketing the war as commie crap(?) and that Chile is socialist.

Great movie, beautifully filmed and I’d recommend it to everyone. But it sure played loose with the facts. I guess that’s what Disney does.

If anyone is looking for a great read, which includes much history of early racing families, pick up William Nack’s “Secretariat - the Making of a Champion”. He’s a wonderful writer and was there for every step of Red’s career.

If we patronize uplifting films like this one maybe hollyweird will make more of them!

...This movie had nothing to do with politics and I am glad.

But it appears liberals view "uplifting films" as inherently political. They might make us feel good about America, and that would be horrible.

The movie is only at 62% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes critics' meter.

The same minds that compare her to Ronald Reagan. She to date has more in common with the horse.

All together now...

Walk around to the back of the horse. That's you.

LOLOLOOL!

Haven’t seen it, but it is true almost all the men are portrayed as mean, etc.?

No, not all men were portrayed as mean. They did turn Ogden Phipps into somewhat of a nasty type but they needed some sort of negative character to foil Penny. They also turned Pancho Martin, trainer of Sham, into somewhat of a bombastic buffoon but it was done with humor.

LOL! Actually, I haven’t seen it yet; I was just going by the review of the FR poster. I know that if I had a chance to meet Diane Lane (or Sarah, for that matter), I’d treat them so nice that they’d think I was a cross between Santa Claus and the Good Ship Lollipop.
