What do regular listeners of Rush think of the show since he married?
Why? Because the daily FR live threads seem to have relatively few posts in them. Today's thread had 64 replies. I can't remember a live show ever getting that few.
Also, I used to religiously downloaded the podcasts every day, and I haven't done so in a few weeks for some reason.
The content is still good but I'm wondering if something has changed. Like he's lost an aggressive style or something.
it didn’t the first five times...
I’d like a show ping if possible.
Which of his many marriages are you talking about? The most recent one?
The only thing I have noticed is he is gone more often. Mark Davis sitting in makes me crazy!!!!
He sounds the same to me.
Rush changed a long, long time ago. His prime ended with the Clinton admin.
Rush seems to be more frank than ever and not pulling any punches.
He can’t call 0bama an evil sonofabitch like I can here, so he’s doing well, as always.
She could be the mother of all liberal operatives. Sedate Rush’s mojo. ;)
I agree that he seems a little toned down lately.
That said, I think we are all worn down from listening to the same depressing stuff over and over again on talk radio for the last 18-months. We need to vote on November 2nd and hopefully get on with a new chapter of political discussion with the conservatives controlling Congress.
I find I don’t listen to him as much. I have the feeling he doesn’t put in as much show prep as he used to. His continuous taping on the desk with a pencil or pen gets a little annoying too.
That having been said I hope he is just as happy as a clam with his new bride. No one in our lifetime has worked harder for America, outside of public office. He has earned his happiness.
Rush hasn’t changed.
I haven’t either. If I get in my car and tune into WABC at noon and Rush isn’t on I don’t have a good day.
a few times Rush has commented on FR. once on a thread i was on. maybe this will tweek him. ;)
Everybody is PO’d at the Dem’s, so everybody agrees with him.
So, Rush has no leverage point from which to spin folks up.
Rush may have reached his retirement goal of being on the air until everybody agrees with him.
But something is different.
I say FR would be a better place if people posted fewer vanities about nothing in particular, and didn't post drivel from phony, blow dried preachers; while hiding behind the religion mod's skirt.
I don’t notice him being any less tough. However, he seems to be gone more and he should line up some better substitute teachers. Mark Steyn is good.
One thing I notice—he’s frequently snide about women, his mother, about being henpecked, which reinforces my old opinion that Rush would have been better off gay.
I’ve known some men like this, who like the benefits of a woman in his life but really don’t like the women themselves or their constant company very much.
For one thing, they always have to be much younger than he and very beautiful. I remember his smug remark a few weeks back that his wife is the most beautiful, etc., etc...it didn’t sound like a compliment to her so much as a compliment to himself for having such fine arm candy.
He’s a guy like so many, who only loves with his eyes. They’re doomed to mulitiple divorces.
Before he got married again he talked about Punkin. Now he has those two dumb dogs and a wife.
He would be forgiven if he came up with a Lil’ El Rushbo.
