For my part, I'm anxiously waiting to see what November brings.
I believe that if we can get enough conservatives in power, we can restrict the growth of government. However, regardless of the party in power, it always brings the same thing... more federal government. The federal government continues to pass unconstitutional measures because they think that it's the "right" thing to do, even though they know are unconstitutional. States need to start standing up for themselves and nullify the unconstitutional laws. It has worked successfully many times. Voting may help, but it will never fix the system.
Our first step should be to repeal the 17th Amendment. It will help return the power to the states.

Our first step should be to repeal the 17th Amendment. It would probably help but given the state of the states and their dependency on feral $$$'s confiscated from the taxpayers and doled out by the federales to favored regions and favored groups will not be fixed any time soon. Now repealing the 16th??? Which MANY argue was never lawfully ratified in the first place but I dunno about that.
