I better question: Will guys in their 40's and 50's get in shape and be willing to hump 20 miles in full gear and be infantrymen? (again for some)
True enough. It's just that with the feral government's unconstitutional takeover of MOST of the States' retained powers, DC was where all the action was, and still is. It seems that local election issues have been relegated to who will fix the potholes faster.
There are lots and lots of ways for us older guys to be sand in the gearbox without humping a 65 pound pack through the boonies. There was a great article on it posted here a few years back. I'll have to dig around in the archives to see if I can find it.
Sounds like he was ahead of the curve. Happens a lot; voices in the wildernes and all...
Unfortunately, the “States Rights” issue has been resolved with the expenditure of large quantities or gunpowder, lead, blood, and suffering. States Rights lost decisively and the Federales would be happy to deal the same to anyone who dares to ask for a rematch.
Funny thing the socialist mind. It would be incredible to watch a president like Obama turn from reluctant C-in-C to a war monger in chief. If a state(s) were to declare sovereignty suddenly all the animosity that should have gone towards our real enemies will be ignited against the wrong foe. I hate it.
You can bet that all the worry about the “Laws of War” and “respecting” the locals would go straight out the window if the Federales were suppressing a grass-roots uprising.
Think Sherman with modern weapons. It would be UFB.
MANY here on FR and elsewhere have been sounding the alarm for most of a decade about the media and their seditious behavior. If surveys over the last few years are any indication, the depravity of the dinomedia has been exposed but seems to have had little impact on their treason. Committed marxists? I think so, but that's just me. What else can explain that even as the wheels are falling off their media empires they refuse to side with flyover country.
FoxNews was a breath of fresh air what, eleven years ago? They were so much better than the rest at the time they seemed Heaven sent. As America has awakened, particularly since odinga's enthronement, it seems that, with rare exceptions, FoxNews has not kept up with the stirring giant. They should do some soul searching to decide just what it is they want to be.
Should media outlets be advocates for our Constitutional Republic? Should they be cheerleaders for traditional values and the heritage that made us a great nation? I believe they should but I also believe it should not be mandated but government. Let them continue to circle the drain and may they go down with the marxists in DC they have been carrying the water for for decades.
Ok, WHEN do they begin to march and if victorious, what will they do about the single largest drain on the treasury: entitlements? IOW, what difference would it make in a bankrupt nation? There won't be anything left to govern.
At least odinga, in his ill conceived deathcare, was peeing on one of the third rails: medicare. And freezing SS COLA for two years??? Problem is he wants these moves to be a part of a complete government takeover of everything else. Issues the feral government should have NEVER been involved in in the first place.
A lot of folks from my genereation and what's left of the previous one have taken to the streets with signs saying in effect, KEEP YOUR GRUBBY PAWS OFF MY ENTITLEMENTS! So whadday gonna do if you win the war against an out of control feral government?
If you get rid of the feral govt. then those programs cease to exist. First things first. I think people will get with the program real quick.
I’m having trouble making any sense out of your reply. May not be your fault entirely but in any case it sounds a bit, well, simplistic. Are you suggesting we are past the point where We The People can reclaim our rightful powers and force the feral government back in line but wish to eliminate it altogether? I somehow doubt it but that’s the way your post reads.
Bump!
