ESPN, NFL Network, and the Boston Herald have all reported that the New England Patriots and Minnesota Vikings have finalized the trade to send Randy Moss back to the Vikings.
Moss will be rejoining his ex-team which he last played for back in 2004 before he was traded to the Oakland Raiders.

I don’t know that the same can be said for Moss.

Oh, I can name a few: Dallas, Patriots, Raiders, Dodgers, Yankees, Mets, Cubs, White Sox, Green Bay and Da Bears.
By my standards, Moss is still young and still somewhat of a punk.
Perhaps playing with a lock HOF QB will make a difference.
I think Tom Brady is a lock hall of fame QB.
This frees up Tate to be much more active and a bunch of money to add a “bull back” or an offensive or defensive lineman. From what I saw this season Randy still had something but was not putting out a 100% effort. We will see how the Pats do.
it should be a good combo...a receiver who doesn’t run real hard combined with a QB who no longer can get the ball deep...

The Patriots will receive a 2011 third-round draft pick in exchange for the seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver, who started his NFL career with the Vikings in 1998. Had New England allowed Moss to leave in free agency next offseason, it would have received a third-round selection in the 2012 draft as compensation.
Moss, who’s in the final year of his current contract, is scheduled to make $6.4 million in base salary this season. He wants a new deal, but he wouldn’t receive one from the Vikings as part of the trade, Lombardi reported.”
I agree. But what's up with that throwback hair he's sporting? He looks like kid actor from the Brady Bunch. ;~))

Tate is very fast, much faster than Moss. He doesn’t have the hands of Moss but because of his speed and ability to get “YACs” can stretch the field and stretch coverage.
I was confusing Moss with Terrel Owens.

I think you have it wrong. Vikings are a desparate team. Patriots are a loathsome team. There is a difference.
