Well, when they have to do laundry, or change a tire, or read an analog watch, they will either figure it you (youTube is an excellent source) or they will die.
Most will learn; and those that don’t - oh, well.
Survival of the fittest. Either you work for Subway or design subways.
I used YouTube to learn how to cut down a tree, remove a stump, and build garage shelves.
These days, their helicopter parents will show up at their dorms to wipe their bottoms, tie their shoes and do their laundry.

My son was was taught to tell time with an analog clock.
To this day (31yrs) he refuses to have a digital clock in the house or on his body/WC.
