In this clip, the solo starting at about the 2:40 point demonstrates what I mean.
Eric Clapton Classical Gas.
But that was then. Now Rodrigo Y Gabriela have them all beat.
Um, *no*, so thanks for the second!
Um, what besides blues did SRV play?
He was even brought in to play blues figures on a Bowie album.
The “LIVE” crossroads on Cream’s Wheels of Fire. I’m a professional guitarist and a LOT of well know players consider that solo to be perfection itself. Cause We Ended as Lovers by Jeff Beck is also as perfect and emotional guitar solo as ever played by anyone ever.
Listen to "Always with Me, Always with you" at (I can't link an audio directly so you'll have to cut and paste into the address box. It's only two minutes when you play it the first time, then you'll have to clean your cache out to play it again in its entirety.)

Yep. But it was definitely a Tele in the studio. In fact, Page used this old Tele often in the studio. Dazed and Confused as well as Whole Lotta Love among others were recorded on this particular Telecaster.
“Nope - but I’ll even give Duane another chance...when I run into it, I’ll give it a listen..”
Duane Allman and Dicky Betts play dual lead, both with their own unique styles. I think you’ll like the piece; it’s really very, very good. It’s on the “Eat a Peach” album.
Dave Mason ONLY plays acoustic guitar Watch Tower
He could play every song that Hendrix ever played....for one.
this is list is ridiculous.
No Ted Nugent, Gary Moore, Gary Richrath, Tony Iommi or Steve Vai for crying out loud
You don’t know sh*t about guitar playing then my froend. He was one of the best slide players around
You don’t regard Hendrix as essentially a blues guitarist?
Bwahahahahaha!!
Awesome.
How about “Realin in the Years” (Stealy Dan)
I liked Betts - always thought he was the better of the two..
“1. Stairway to Heaven, Led Zeppelin (Jimmy Page)”
Great guitar solo. Then again, Rock and Roll from Zep also has a great guitar solo.
That is true. A master.
