But seriously, can you imagine the pressure NBC placed on the PGA and by extension Pavin et al to select Tiger regardless of record or form? Woods is in the midst of his 4th swing change (and they said Faldo was crazy for changing his ONCE) - in his heart of hearts even he would admit the timing isn’t right to be there.
Perhaps to double the television viewing audience? And thereby earn many more millions for the tournament purse for next year?
