We have had 3 yellow labs. When our second was 8 mos old she slipped over into my neighbor's yard in the wee hours of the morning to play with -- or I mean, attack and maul -- the two dogs inside the fence. Crazy neighbor gets up, sees the dog inside the fence, gets his rifle. Maggie jumped up on the fence when she saw him (yay! somebody new to play with!) and he shot her right through the chest. He felt threatened because he was on one side of the fence and she was on the other. Some people are insane.
