This must have taken from at least 100 yards away. I guess Chia Head does not look good in close-up
On the other hand, his sister Kim Kyong-hee, now made a general, is prominently featured in the following photo. The woman at the center of the front row is Kim Kyong-hee.

She was said to have been an alcoholic several years ago, and her daughter reportedly killed herself while studying in France.
In a photo taken when she was younger, she was as ‘plump’ as Kim Jong-il. I guess stress made her slim down.

Their purpose is to clap like mad. Don't have to be in perfect sync. Of course, I know your comment is a form of sarcasm.:-) Anyhow, if you see communist mass conference, you can discern pecking order by the way they clap. Those in lower ranks clap like crazy. Those in upper position clap gently. The guy on the top is barely clapping.
If you watch old archive footage of Stalin, you can tell it easily. In his case, it is rather extreme. Everybody below him, regardless of ranks, clapped like crazy. Especially ones on each side of him.:-)
